We finally got an answer about a question regularly asked at the Tour: why the brown and orange jerseys? We could have thought that it was becasue the yellow and pink we already being used. Or because it could represent the regional logging industry and the colourful sunsets over the region's numerous lakes. Or even the colour of the lakes! But no. Don't look for a symbolical explanation. Brown and orange are the favourite colours of Léandre Normand who founded the Tour. Of course, it was 1969, but still in 2012, Mr Normand is still displaying his appeal for these colours as seen yesterday in Malartic!
